The series was originally named after one of WWE's weekly television programs, SmackDown, and was initially exclusive to Sony's PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2. The first game, WWF SmackDown!, was developed by Yuke's, published by THQ, and released on Mathis arrangement would continue until 2012. Visual Concepts would take over lead development of the series beginning with WWE 2K20 in 2019. 2K (previously under the 2K Sports sub-label) took over as publisher beginning with 2013's WWE 2K14, and the series was co-developed with Visual Concepts until Yuke's departure in 2018. Raw and WWE, is a series of professional wrestling sports video games that launched in 2000. WWE 2K, formerly released as WWF/E SmackDown!, SmackDown vs. To sum up its a great console with some good games, but it lacks the amount of games PS3 offers, you must pay extra for many things that are free on competing platforms, and it isn't the best option as a centerpiece for an HD living room.Visual Concepts (Supporting developers: 2013–2018 Sole developer: 2019–present) A big flaw for the Xbox is a lack of Blu-ray and the use of incredibly overpriced specialized hard drives. Besides Halo, Gears of War, Forza there isn't much that screams " I must play this." Everything else is also available on PS3. Overall it's a great user friendly interface. There are a few cases where practicality and function take a backseat to flash. The interface is very smooth and responsive as well as appealing to look at. All of this is free on the Playstation 3 except for the subscriptions to Hulu, Netflix, etc. The most annoying thing is that you must pay a separate subscription for those services as well. To get the full experience out of the Xbox you must subscribe to Live gold to be able to then use of almost all the apps such as Netflix, amazon video, last fm, etc along with the ability to play online. The selection of games isn't as rich as the PS3 with only a few notable franchises. If you want to just play games mainly then this is not the best option right now. Newer consoles will be coming out soon and the PS3 offers more bang for your buck. At this point buying an Xbox is not as appealing as it was a few years ago. Surely if you purchase a newer model you'll be guaranteed more reliable, quieter, efficient, and feature rich console. This is more a review about the experience the Xbox 360 offers at this point instead of this particular model. For Halo/Gears fans, but Xbox live is a huge ripoff, too few gms, no Blu-ray
